We would like to thank all the players, especially those who travelled a long way, for braving the conditions so that the tournament could go ahead. We hope everyone had an enjoyable day and a safe journey home.
Thanks, of course, to tournament secretary Margaret Hargreaves, who must have had a very stressful couple of days, her assistant Margaret Hope, tournament referee Heather Crump, Martin Francis and Syd Crump for keeping the courts tidy and manning shuttle control and anyone else who lent a hand.
Thanks also to the staff at Perdiswell Leisure Centre, who, as usual, were extremely helpful and friendly.
