Worcestershire prides itself on entering and promoting competitive badminton. We have a number of different teams available for individuals to put themselves forwards for via the following methods to strive towards playing high quality badminton!
We don't have fixed competitive teams for our Juniors but we do look to enter regular teams into the ICT each year - a real learning experience for our juniors in tournament play! Selections of these are made by the coaches running each of the sessions so performances in those sessions are imperative.
We also look as a County to promote juniors in entering Badminton England events to build tournament experience. If you need any advice or guidance on this, please get in touch with anyone on the committee or any of the coaches for the County and we'd be happy to help!
We have 3 county senior teams playing in the county national competitions. To get selected for the Senior County teams you must attend the Worcestershire Restricted Tournmaent held on the last weekend in September every year. From this, selections are made by the County Selection team identified below.
These teams play in very competitive national leagues against other Counties - a real test of your badminton ability. To see how we perform check out our socials and the Badminton England results pages!!
